Instructions

  1. First prepare the pudding according to the package instructions with 500 ml milk and 40 g sugar and let it cool down. It is best if the pudding has already set before it is used later for the muffins.
  2. Chop the two bars of chocolate into small pieces in preparation. The oven can now be preheated to 180 ° C (top / bottom heat, circulating air: 160 ° C).
  3. Now sift the flour and mix well with baking powder and salt in a large bowl. Heat the butter (or margarine) in another bowl so that it becomes liquid. Add sugar, vanilla sugar, milk and eggs one after the other and stir well. Now mix the egg mixture and the chocolate pieces into the flour and stir well. If you like it very chocolatey, you can add as many chocolate sprinkles as you like.
  4. Line the muffin tin with paper liners and pour a dollop of batter into each of the liners so that the base is covered. Then add 1 - 2 teaspoons of the vanilla pudding, preferably in the middle. Then the pudding is completely covered with the muffin batter so that it can no longer be seen.
  5. Now the muffins are baked for 20 minutes. If there is too much pudding in a muffin cup, the pudding can boil out at the top while baking. It is best to let the muffins cool down before eating.
  6. Tip: Mix 1 tablespoon cocoa powder with the flour.
