Ingredients

  • 1 kg minced meat, beef or mixed
  • 2 onions)
  • some flour
  • oil
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 3 slices toast or 1 roll or -4 tablespoon breadcrumbs
  • 200 g cream
  • 600 ml sauce, (Texicana salsa)
  • 10 slices ham, halved, if the are small, 20 whole
  • 10 slices cheese, (Gouda), halved, if the are small, 20 whole
  • 1 tablespoon sambal oelek or -2 fresh chili peppers
  • some salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Dice the onions, dust them with a little flour and fry them in a little oil. Put the minced meat with the onions and egg in a bowl. Soak bread or rolls in hot water, squeeze out briefly and add (alternatively breadcrumbs). Knead everything well and season the meat dough heartily with sambal oelek, salt and pepper.
  2. Shape the meat dough into 20 rolls and wrap them first in the ham, then in the Gouda.
  3. Put the rolls in a baking dish. Mix the cream and Texicana sauce and pour over the rolls. If the sauce is not enough, it can be stretched with approx. 200 ml of water. Put the casserole in the oven and bake at 175 ° C for about 1 hour.
  4. Serve with rice or pasta.
