Ingredients

  • 1 kg minced meat, (half and half)
  • 1 kg carrot (s), fresh
  • 2 cups crème fraîche with herbs
  • 1 large onion (s)
  • 1 roll, dry
  • ml milk
  • 2 egg (s)
  • some butter
  • salt and pepper
  • sugar

Instructions

  1. Put the minced meat, the diced onion and the two eggs in a bowl. Soften the roll in water, squeeze it out and add it too. Season with salt and pepper. Then knead the whole thing well.
  2. Peel the carrots and cut into round slices. Heat the butter in the saucepan and sauté the carrot slices until they are firm to the bite, and season with a little salt, pepper and sugar. Now put the minced meat in a large, flat baking dish and press down so that the bottom is covered. Now pour the carrots over it.
  3. Mix the creme fraiche with the milk and pour evenly over it.
  4. Bake the whole thing for about 1 hour at 180 ° C in a preheated oven (convection oven).
  5. Potatoes go well with it. But tastes delicious even without a side dish.
