Ingredients

  • 3 onion (s), diced
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 slice (s) toast bread
  • 250 ml milk
  • 1 ½ tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon apricot jam or brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoon curry
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • pepper
  • 3 tablespoon almond (s), chopped
  • 1 kg minced beef (beef fat)
  • 2 egg (s)
  • 6 bay leaves

Instructions

  1. Fry the onion cubes in melted butter until translucent. Soak white bread in 125 ml of the milk, squeeze out and add to the onions. Add vinegar, jam, curry, salt, pepper, chopped almonds and stir well. Add the beef mince, chopped up, and fry. Season again to taste sweet-sour-hot.
  2. Spread the mixture in a baking dish. Whisk the remaining 125 ml milk with the eggs and pour over them. Stick the bay leaves into the mass.
  3. Bake in a hot oven at 160 ° C top / bottom heat for about 30 minutes.
  4. Serve with rice, chopped bananas, sambal oelek and fruity chutney.
