Ingredients

  • 4 cups flour
  • 8 tablespoon oil
  • 2 pinches salt
  • 1 ¼ cup water
  • 300 g minced meat
  • 2 medium onion (s)
  • 3 tablespoon milk or broth
  • Oil for deep-frying

Instructions

  1. As a measure, I use a cup that holds approx. 200 - 250 ml.
  2. Make a dough out of flour, oil, salt and water and let it rest for about 20 minutes. First add only 1 cup of water, then possibly more, so that an elastic, rollable dough is formed.
  3. Puree the onions with a hand blender and add to the minced meat. Salt and pepper the mixture to taste and add milk or broth.
  4. Divide the dough into approx. 12 parts and roll out thin flatbreads (like pancakes) from each part and fill them with a little minced meat filling (they should not look thick).
  5. Be careful, the pockets should be closed properly, preferably 2 times with your fingers, before deep-frying. Fry the finished bags over medium heat until they are a nice golden brown color.
