Ingredients
- 2 bottles red wine, dry
- 0.7 liters juice (Elderberry mulled punch from Voelkel or apple and elderberry juice 1: 1)
- 2 bags tea, black
- 3 sticks cinnamon
- 1 cm vanilla pod (s)
- 7 carnation (s)
- 2 star anise
- 2 squirts lemon juice, possibly
- 2 orange (s) (organic)
- 1 shot vodka or rum
- 1 tablespoon sugar, brown, possibly

- Bring the hot punch (or apple and elderberry juice) to the boil in a saucepan, remove from the stove and hang the tea bags in it. Let it steep for 3 minutes and then remove the bags.
- Then cut into the vanilla pod lengthways and place in a tea strainer with the cloves and star anise and add with the red wine and cinnamon. Wash the oranges well, quarter them, cut into slices and add them to the pan. If you want, you can add 1 or 2 squirts of lemon juice and a little brown sugar.
- Then the mulled wine has to steep for approx. 30 - 40 minutes with a lid on low heat! It is important to keep the time, otherwise the spices will become too dominant. Before serving, add the vodka and strain off the spices.
