Delicious, juicy, and very simple sandwich croutons stuffed with slices of nectarine, cooked in a pan. Such a bright and sunny breakfast will cheer you up just by looking at it. But smiling is very useful, and not only in the morning.
Ingredients
White bread – 4 slices
Nectarine – 1 pc.
Sugar – 1 teaspoon
Egg – 1 pc.
Milk – 40 ml
Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp
Directions
We prepare products for making nectarine croutons.
I already have sliced bread. If you have a whole loaf, cut 4 thin slices of the same size.
Cut the nectarine in half and remove the bone. Cut each half of the nectarine lengthwise into circles with a thickness that should be approximately equal to the thickness of the bread slices.
Sprinkle sugar evenly over two slices of bread.
Put pieces of nectarine on top of slices of bread with sugar. If necessary, flatten the pieces of fruit so that they do not protrude beyond the edges.
Cover with the remaining slices of bread.
Whisk the egg and milk lightly.
Dip the nectarine sandwiches into the egg and milk mixture.
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan. Fry the croutons over medium heat for about 2-3 minutes on one side. Then we turn the croutons over to the other side and, as it were, “flatten” each crouton, pressing well with a spatula. Fry for about 2-3 minutes more, until golden brown.
Simple, tasty, and juicy croutons stuffed with nectarines are ready.
