Homemade nougat, prepared according to this recipe, turns out to be very soft, incredibly tasty, with a subtle honey aroma.
Ingredients
Honey (candied) – 130 g
Egg whites (from medium-sized eggs) – 2 pcs.
Sugar – 400 g
Any nuts (we used roasted peanuts) – 200-300 g
Drinking water – 50 ml
Vegetable oil – for lubricating the mold

How to make nougat at home: Combine honey, sugar, and water in a ladle, put on the highest fire, and from that moment cook for exactly 10 minutes.
If you have a special thermo, then the syrup temperature should be 170 degrees.
At this time, separate the egg whites from the yolks and, using a mixer, beat the whites until dense peaks.
Pour the hot honey syrup in a very thin stream to the proteins, while we do not stop whipping them intensively. The mass will begin to thicken very strongly.
When the syrup is over, add the nuts and mix thoroughly with a spoon.
Preparing a mold for homemade nougat with nuts. It is very convenient to use disposable foil molds. Lubricate the molds inside with vegetable oil.
We spread the future nougat into the prepared forms and carefully level it. We put it in the refrigerator for an hour or two.
After that, we remove the frozen nougat from the mold.
We cut the layer into cubes using a sharp knife (it is easier to do this with a sawing motion).
