Ingredients

  • 500 g wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 200 ml milk
  • 40 g fat
  • 1 point yeast
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 250 g onion (s), finely diced raw
  • 1 teaspoon curry, also more
  • Egg yolks for brushing

Instructions

  1. Dissolve the yeast in the lukewarm milk. Let the fat (butter or margarine) melt. It can`t be hot.
  2. Mix the flour, salt, sugar and curry, mix with the onions, then add the yeast milk and the liquid fat and knead everything into an elastic dough. Cover the dough, keep warm and let rise until the volume has increased significantly.
  3. Knead again well. Shape into a loaf, score the surface and brush with egg yolk. Let rise again on the baking sheet.
  4. Bake at 200 to 220 degrees top / bottom heat in a preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes
