Ingredients

  • 250 g flour
  • 1 pack dry yeast
  • 125 ml milk
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ salt
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 40 g mararine, (Sanella)
  • 1 kg onion (s)
  • 1 handful bacon, diced (amount as desired)
  • 3 egg (s)
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • Vegetable broth, instant

Instructions

  1. Make a yeast dough from flour, yeast, milk, salt, fat and egg.
  2. Peel the onions and cut them into rings. If you like, you can also roll them.
  3. Leave the bacon and onions in a pan and place in a bowl.
  4. Mix the eggs, sour cream and spices and add to the onion and bacon mixture.
  5. Roll out the dough in a greased form on the base and spread the filling on top. We don`t add a fringe because we like it much better without it!
  6. Preheat the oven to 190 ° C fan oven. Baking time approx. 45 - 50 minutes

  8. The onion cake can also be prepared the evening before or in the morning.
  9. Pre-bake in the oven as above at 190 ° C for 30 minutes and then finish baking in 20 minutes in the evening.
