Ingredients

  • 4 orange (s)
  • 2 pomegranates
  • 200 g puree, (date puree) bouht or homemade
  • 100 g apricot (s), dried
  • 500 g preservin suar, 2: 1
  • 1 star anise
  • 2 pinches cardamom
  • 1 pinch (s) clove powder

Instructions

  1. Pulp the seeds from the pomegranates, puree them and strain them through a sieve. Peel the oranges and remove the outer skin. If you can`t get a date puree, you can make it yourself. Boil the dates in a little water until soft, then puree and weigh. Cut the dried apricots very small. Simmer everything together with the spices for about 10-15 minutes. If you like, you can take out the star anise now. Now stir in the preserving sugar and cook for another 4 minutes.

  4. Since the dates are very sweet, I would not use preserving sugar 1: 1. If you like it a little more fruity, you can use a little more oranges or orange juice.
