Ingredients

  • 500 g minced meat (beef or lamb)
  • 1 roll, stale
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 1 handful apricots, figs or dates, dried
  • 3 tablespoon almond (s), chopped
  • 1 bunch parsley, smooth
  • 1 onion (s), diced
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon mustard, hotter
  • salt
  • Cinnamon, ground
  • Nutmeg, ground
  • Ground cumin
  • Coriander, ground
  • Ground pepper
  • olive oil

Instructions

  1. Soak the bun in water. When it is really soaked, take it out of the water and squeeze it out until it is just a little damp. Pluck the leaves from the parsley and chop finely. Peel the onion and chop finely. Also cut the apricots (or dates or figs) into small pieces. Peel, chop or press the garlic.
  2. Mix all ingredients - except for the olive oil - in a bowl and process into a meat dough. Season to taste with the spices. Form meatballs or meatballs out of the meat dough and fry them in the pan in heated olive oil over medium heat.
  3. A little tip: Coriander and cumin should definitely be used for the oriental flavor. Be careful with the cumin, however, as it tastes very intense. The cinnamon gives the whole thing an incomparable aroma, while you can leave out the nutmeg if you don`t like the taste.
