Pilaf with Beef

An unusual recipe for cooking pilaf with beef. This recipe cooks rice separately.

Ingredients

  • Rice – 3 cups
  • Beef tenderloin – 1 kg
  • Onions – 4-5 pcs.
  • Large carrots – 2 pcs.
  • Ground cloves – on the tip of a knife (to taste)
  • Ground cinnamon – 0.25 teaspoon (to taste)
  • Turmeric – 0.5 teaspoon (to taste)
  • Vegetable oil – 50 ml (to taste)
  • Salt – 1 tbsp (to taste)

Directions

  1. Products for cooking pilaf with beef.
  2. Wash the meat, cut into small slices, salt.
  3. Peel the onion, wash, cut into half rings.
  4. Preheat a frying pan, pour in vegetable oil. Put the meat in hot oil.
  5. Lightly fry the meat in hot oil over medium heat. Put the meat in a thick-walled dish.
  6. Put the onion in the remaining oil. Saute the onion over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Place the meat in a thick-walled dish in layers alternating with sautéed onions, cinnamon and cloves.
  8. Add a little water, close the dish with a lid and simmer the meat until tender (about 60-90 minutes).
  9. Rinse the rice well in cold water.
  10. Boil the rice so that it is crumbly. To do this, boil 6 glasses of water, add salt. Pour rice into boiling water, stir so that the rice does not stick together. Boil. Cook the rice over moderate heat until tender (about 10-15 minutes). Then put the rice in a colander, let the excess water drain.
  11. Peel the carrots, wash, grate on a medium grater.
  12. Fry the carrots in boiling oil, stirring occasionally, for 1-2 minutes.
  13. Combine ready-made rice with carrots and turmeric, salt to taste and mix.
  14. Put the rice on a dish, put the meat on top. Drizzle with the sauce formed during the stewing.
  15. Pilaf with beef is ready.
