Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, white
  • 500 g spinach, fresh
  • 2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 3 spring onion (s), chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ cayenne pepper
  • 300 g pork schnitzel, alternatively fillet, cut into thin strips
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil, dark
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce, Japanese
  • 2 teaspoons sugar

Instructions

  1. Toast the sesame seeds in a small non-stick pan until they are golden brown. Swivel the pan gently. Remove the sesame seeds from the pan and set aside.
  2. Clean the spinach, cutting off the stalks. Wash the leaves well and spin dry, this works very well with a salad spinner. Then roughly chop the leaves.
  3. Mix the garlic, spring onions, cayenne pepper and meat together well.
  4. Heat the oil in a wok and fry the meat in portions over very high heat until it is golden brown. Remove the meat from the wok and set aside.
  5. Add the soy sauce, sugar and spinach to the wok. Mix carefully and cook, covered, for 2 minutes, until the spinach is soft. Add the meat to the spinach and fold in. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the dish.
  6. Best served with rice.
