Potato Tortillas with Minced Chicken and Cheese

Let’s make the dough from mashed potatoes, eggs, flour, and herbs, and the filling – from minced chicken with garlic and mayonnaise. Put the filling on the dough cake, cover with grated cheese, and bake. We’ll have savory cheesecakes.

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • Potatoes – 500 g
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Flour – 2 tbsp

For filling:

  • Minced chicken – 250 g
  • Onions – 270 g (2 pcs.)
  • Hard cheese – 70 g
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Mayonnaise – 1 tbsp
  • Garlic – 1 clove
  • Fresh greens (I have parsley) – to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste
  • Vegetable oil – for frying minced meat

Directions

  1. Peel the potatoes, wash and cut into medium pieces.
  2. Pour potatoes with hot water, salt a little, and boil until tender (after boiling water, cook for 20 minutes).
  3. We drain the water. Place the potatoes in a deep bowl and knead in mashed potatoes.
  4. Finely chop the greens (I have several branches of fresh parsley). Add the egg, flour, and herbs to the puree. Mix thoroughly.
  5. Peel the onion, rinse and chop finely.
  6. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the onion until transparent.
  7. Add minced meat, mayonnaise, garlic, passed through a press, salt, and ground pepper to the onion. While stirring, fry the minced meat with onions until golden brown. Cool it down.
  8. We turn on the oven to heat up to 160 degrees. Shake the egg in a separate bowl.
  9. Rub the cheese on a fine grater.
  10. Cover the baking sheet with baking paper. We form round cakes from potato dough and grease them with a beaten egg (I got 9 cakes). Put the minced meat on top and sprinkle with grated cheese. We send the baking sheet to an oven preheated to 160 degrees and bake the cakes for 30-35 minutes.
  11. Serve hot potato cakes with minced chicken and cheese.
