Ingredients

  • 2 slices puff pastry, (6 cm)
  • 2 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 4 slices cooked ham
  • 100 g cheese (Emmentaler), rated
  • some oregano
  • 1 egg yolk

Instructions

  1. Place 1 slice of puff pastry on baking paper. Brush with tomato paste, leaving a 1 cm wide border free. Top with the boiled ham. Sprinkle some oregano and half of the cheese on top. Place the second sheet of puff pastry on top. Press the edges into place with the tines of a fork.
  2. Place a glass or something similar in the middle of the dough. Cut the dough into 16 pieces of cake from the edge of the glass to the outer edge. Remove the glass again (the glass only serves as a placeholder). Now turn the cake pieces clockwise. Turn the first piece completely to the right, the next one completely to the left. Press the two pieces together at the ends. Now turn the next two pieces keep turning until everything is turned. Brush everything with egg yolk and sprinkle with the rest of the cheese. Bake in the oven preheated to 180 ° C for about 30 minutes.
  3. Other ingredients can be used for the filling, it`s a matter of taste. The imagination knows no limits. However, you should make sure that the ingredients are as dry as possible so that it does not leak.
