Ingredients

  • 1 kg turkey breast in one piece
  • 1 dash olive oil
  • 125 ml sauce (barbecue sauce) your choice
  • 60 ml cola
  • 60 ml vegetable broth, strong
  • 30 g suar, brown
  • 1 tablespoon mustard, medium hot
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.5 tablespoon ½ paprika powder, hot pink or chili powder
  • 1 medium onion (s)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • some thyme, possibly

Also:

  • 6 wrap (s)
  • 2 lettuce hearts, possibly more

For the sauce:

  • 1 tablespoon horseradish from the jar (no cream horseradish)
  • 1 tablespoon mustard, medium hot
  • tomato ketchup or barbecue sauce
  • Remoulade (approx. 1/2 tube)

Instructions

  1. Put the olive oil in a roasting pan with a lid and brush the bottom with it. Wash the turkey breast, pat dry and place on top of the oil in the roasting pan. Preheat the oven to 130 ° C top / bottom heat.
  2. Finely dice the onion and garlic and mix with the barbecue sauce, cola, vegetable stock, mustard, Worcester sauce and spices and pour over the meat in the roasting pan. Place the lid on the roasting pan and put the roasting pan in the oven for approx. 4 hours. Turn the meat once after approx. 2 hours.
  3. After the 4 hours have elapsed, take the roasting pan out of the oven and use two forks to pick the meat into pieces and mix with the resulting stock in the roasting pan. Put the roaster back in the oven and keep the meat warm in the oven at approx. 80 ° C until use.
  4. Clean the lettuce and cut it into strips and mix together the ingredients for the sauce. Ketchup and tartar sauce can be added to taste. If the sauce seems a little too little, you can prepare more sauce.
  5. Heat the wraps according to the instructions on the package. To serve, coat a wrap with a little sauce, spread a little salad on top, then pour the meat-sauce mixture on top and roll up the wrap. But don`t spread too much meat on the wraps, otherwise they won`t roll up as easily.
