Ingredients

For the rub:

  • 5 tablespoon sugar, brown
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon herbal salt
  • 2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon powder
  • 1 teaspoon oregano, dried
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon ¼ chilli powder, or a little less depending on the type chilli

Also:

  • 4 spare ribs
  • 0.33 ml cherry juice

Instructions

  1. Remove the silver skin from the ribs (four strands). Now rub in well on all sides with the rub mixture. Now put in the smoker for two hours at 120 ° C. Alternatively, if there is no smoker, an oven can also be used. But you can`t get the light smoke aroma without the kitchen being full of smoke. But if you want tasty ribs, you can make them that way.
  2. Take out the ribs and wrap in the aluminum foil with two good sips of cherry juice. Please make sure that they are tightly closed and nothing can leak out. The steaming phase now begins for approx. 3 1/2 hours. Put the ribs back into the smoker, only now at 130 - 140 ° C.
  3. Then carefully unpack the ribs, as the steam is very hot and you can easily burn yourself. Now return to the smoker for another 1/2 hour and brush well with the brew from the foil. Now they are ready and super juicy and delicious.
