Ingredients

  • 2 cup basmati
  • 3 cup water
  • 3 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable stock, grained
  • 1 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in the pan, add the rice and fry for about a minute. Then add curry, salt, pepper and vegetable stock. Pour the water on, stir well and bring to the boil. Put the stove on the lowest setting and cover the rice and let it soak, do not touch it again. After 20 minutes the rice is cooked and nice and fluffy.
  2. Tip: If you like the rice very dry, you can cover the rice with kitchen paper and leave the lid to steam for about 5 minutes (lid off, paper towel on and then the lid back on).
