Ingredients

  • 1 kg turkey breast
  • 2 tablespoon honey, more liquid
  • 2 teaspoons oil
  • salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ sambal oelek
  • 750 ml chicken broth
  • 100 grams bacon
  • 2 onions)
  • 3 carrot (s)
  • 4 stalks thyme or 1 teaspoon dried

Instructions

  1. Mix the honey, oil, salt and sambal and brush the meat with it. Fry on the drip pan in a preheated oven at 200 ° for about 1 hour, gradually adding about 1/2 l of the stock. After 15 minutes of cooking, top the turkey breast loosely with bacon. Place the onion and carrots, cut into small pieces, around the meat and continue frying. Scatter the thyme 10 minutes before the end of the cooking time.
  2. Remove the roast and keep warm. Strain the stock and roasted vegetables through a sieve, fill up to 3/8 l with the remaining stock, bring to the boil and season to taste.
  3. Serve the meat with the sauce and roasted potatoes.
