Rose Pie Stuffed with Apples and Nuts

I would like to introduce you to one of my favorite pies. The pie turns out to be incredibly tasty, very aromatic, with an unusual filling. Butter pie is made from individual rose buns with ready-made apple and nut filling. After baking, a whole bouquet of roses is obtained. 🙂 Very tasty, definitely worth taking the time to cook it!

Cook: 2 hours 30 minutes

Ingredients

For the dough:

  • Milk – 100 ml
  • Butter – 150 g
  • Eggs – 4 pcs.
  • Flour – 600 g
  • Dry yeast – 8 g
  • Sugar – 100 g
  • Peel of 1 orange grated – 1-1.5 tbsp
  • Salt – 1 pinch
  • Vegetable oil – for working with dough and lubricating the mold

For filling:

  • Apples – 2 pcs.
  • Walnuts (ground) – 200 g
  • Milk – 200 ml
  • Sugar – 250 g
  • Cinnamon – 1 teaspoon

For decoration:

  • Powdered sugar – 2 tbsp

Directions

  1. Cooking dough: mix lukewarm milk with 1 tbsp of sugar, salt and yeast, add 2 tablespoon. tablespoons of flour and leave for 15-20 minutes in a warm place.
  2. Melt the butter, cool and add to the dough.
  3. Add lightly beaten eggs with sugar.
  4. Add the orange zest. (I have orange peel, prepared for future use: grated on a fine grater and mixed with sugar in a ratio of 1: 2, respectively.)
  5. Knead the pie dough, gradually adding the sifted flour.
  6. Leave the finished yeast dough in a warm place for 40 minutes.
  7. Preparing the filling for the pie. Peel and grate the apples. Pour milk into a container, add sugar and chopped nuts. We send it to the fire until it thickens.
    Then add cinnamon and grated apples to hot milk with nuts. Stir and leave the filling to cool.
  8. On a table lightly oiled with vegetable oil, roll out the dough into a rectangular layer. We spread the filling on it and distribute it evenly.
  9. We wrap the roll.
  10. We cut the roll into 12 parts.
  11. Lubricate a detachable form with a diameter of 22-24 cm with oil, cover the bottom with parchment. We spread the buns-roses in the shape side by side, place them vertically.
  12. We give the cake about 30 minutes apart. We send the pie with apples and nuts to the oven preheated to a temperature of 180 degrees. Bake the yeast dough apple pie for about 45 minutes.
  13. Sprinkle the cooled peel-off cake from buns-roses with apple-nut filling with powdered sugar.
