Saag Spinach

Ingredients

  • Spinach – 560 Grams
  • Onion – 1 Piece
  • Garlic – 2 Cloves
  • Ginger – 1 Piece
  • Coriander – 1 Teaspoon
  • Cumin – 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Curry Powder – 1 Teaspoon
  • Tomato Paste – 2 Teaspoons
  • Oil – 3 Art. spoons
  • Salt – 1 Pinch (to taste)

Directions

  1. Chop the spinach.
  2. Chop onion, ginger and garlic. Beat in a blender.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add ground cumin. Fry lightly and add curry.
  4. Add the onion-garlic mixture and fry until transparent. Add spinach and mix thoroughly with the rest of the ingredients. Add tomato paste, coriander and a little salt. Mix everything well and close the lid. Cook for 10 minutes. Add some water if necessary.
  5. While cooking, pour in the cream and stir. Simmer spinach for another 10 minutes.
