Salad “Watermelon Slice”

The “Watermelon Slice” salad will decorate the festive New Year’s table. The upcoming 2021 is the Year of the Ox. And rats love everything bright and exotic, so the recipe for this salad just tells what to cook for the New Year 2021, the Year of the Ox, so that the New Year’s table in the Year of the Ox is as elegant as possible.

Ingredients

  • Chicken (or turkey) fillet – 400 g
  • Eggs – 3 pcs.
  • Hard cheese – 100 g
  • Fresh cucumbers – 1-2 pcs.
  • Tomatoes – 2-3 pcs.
  • Pitted olives – 8 pcs.
  • Mayonnaise – 3 tbsp (to taste)
  • Salt – 1 pinch

Directions

  2. Wash the chicken fillet, put in a saucepan, pour cold water, put on fire, bring to a boil. Cook over low heat until tender (about 30-40 minutes). Remove the fillet from the broth, cool. Cut into cubes or tear into pieces.
  3. Put chicken eggs in a saucepan, cover with cold water, salt. Boil. Simmer hard-boiled over low heat (about 10 minutes). Gently drain the boiling water, pour cold water over the eggs. Cool, peel, wash eggs.
  4. Cut the chicken eggs into cubes.
  5. Grate the cheese on a medium grater.
  6. Cut the olives into slices. Leave 2 olives.
  7. Combine chicken, cheese, eggs and olives in a bowl. Season with mayonnaise. You can salt to taste.
  8. Mix the salad well.
  9. Wash and dice the tomatoes.
  10. Wash cucumbers, grate on a coarse grater.
  11. Form a salad. Place the salad on a platter, shaping it into a watermelon wedge.
  12. Now you need to decorate the salad. To do this, put tomatoes on the central part.
  13. Put cheese on the edge of the wedge.
  14. With grated cucumber, arrange the crust of the slices.
  15. Cut two olives into segments, you get watermelon seeds.
  16. Decorate the salad with olives. The Watermelon Slice salad is ready. (I recommend decorating the salad with cucumbers and tomatoes just before serving the salad to the table.)
  17. You can serve the “Watermelon Slice” salad to the table.
