Salted Lemons

Salted lemons are a great gourmet snack. Salted lemons cook quickly and can be eaten in a few hours. For baked meat or kebabs – an irreplaceable snack.

Cook: 3 hours

Ingredients

  • Lemons – 2 pcs.
  • Garlic – 3 cloves
  • Bulb onions – 0.5 pcs.
  • Coriander – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Allspice peas – 6 pcs.
  • Carnation – 2 buds
  • Hot pepper – to taste
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley – sprig
  • Bay leaf – 1 pc.
  • Vegetable oil – for filling

Directions

  1. Prepare foods for snacks. Wash the lemons well, peel the onions and garlic.
  2. Coarsely chop all spices (knead with a pestle).
  3. Chop the onion into the feathers, chop the garlic into slices and the chili into rings.
  4. Cut the lemons into slices, about 3-4 mm each.
  5. Mix salt and spices. (For a medium lemon, I use half a teaspoon of salt.)
  6. Put lemon circles in a jar, sprinkle with salt with spices, onions, garlic, parsley and chili. You don’t need to soften too much, the lemons will then become softer and settle themselves.
  7. Fill the lemons with vegetable oil so that they are completely covered. Then this aromatic oil can be used in salads.
  8. Salted lemons are ready! They are good with baked fish or fried poultry, salted lemons can be added to a vegetable salad or simply put on a sandwich.
