Sandwich with Blue Cheese and Walnuts

A wonderful, unusual sandwich that uses two types of cheese, nuts, green onions, and … a little brandy.

Ingredients

  • White toast bread – 6 pieces
  • Walnuts – 100 g
  • Cream cheese – 200-250 g
  • Blue cheese – 70-80 g
  • Green onions – 1 bunch
  • Brandy – 40-50 ml
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Grind walnuts (in a mortar).
  2. Finely chop the green onion.
  3. Mix cream cheese and blue cheese.
  4. Add brandy. Mix.
  5. Add nuts and stir again.
  6. Add onion, salt, and pepper. Stir again.
  7. Fold the pieces of bread in pairs. Cut off the crusts.
    Put cheese mixture thickly on one slice of bread. Close with a second slice of bread.
  8. Cover the sandwich with a clean cloth (napkin) and crush with a rolling pin.
