Ingredients

  • 2 bars chocolate
  • 200 g butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 4 egg (s), separated
  • 1 cup coffee (espresso)
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 1 bar chocolate
  • 50 g butter

For decoration:

  • Chocolate decoration, e.g. mocha beans covered with chocolate

Instructions

  1. Melt the 2 bars of chocolate with 200 g butter in a water bath. Whisk the flour, sugar and egg yolk with the espresso and vanilla sugar. Beat the egg whites until stiff. Fold the egg whites and chocolate mixture into the egg yolk mixture. Bake in a loaf pan for 10 minutes at 250 ° C (preheated), then bake for another 15 minutes at 200 ° C.
  2. Let the cake (still soft and juicy) cool down a little. For the glaze, melt 1 chocolate bar with 50 g butter and pour over the cake. Decorate to taste (especially suitable: mocha beans in chocolate) and refrigerate for at least 5 hours before eating.
  3. The cake melts on the tongue and knows how to inspire with its tart, sweet taste!
