As it turned out, it’s easier than ever to cook kozinaki at home. The recipe for this sesame kozinaki reliably confirms the simplicity of preparation.
Ingredients
Sesame seeds – 1.25 cups (180 g)
Sugar – 2 cups (400 g)
Vanilla – to taste (you can use 2 teaspoons of vanilla sugar, preferably natural vanilla, or 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract)
Butter – 25 g
Directions
Pour the sesame seeds into a large skillet and fry over medium heat, stirring constantly, until slightly golden brown, about 8 minutes. Pour into a plate.
In the same pan in which the sesame was fried, add sugar, add vanilla sugar and add 2-3 teaspoons of water. Place a skillet on low heat and cook, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is completely melted, about 10 minutes.
Pour the fried sesame seeds into the pan and stir quickly (!). (If using vanilla extract instead of vanilla sugar, add it at this point.)
Pour the resulting mass into a baking sheet well greased with butter, and quickly (!) Smooth with a spatula to a thickness of about 4 mm.
Leave the kozinaki on a baking sheet to cool at room temperature for about 20 minutes.
Then cut the hardened layer into pieces of any size and shape and put them in an airtight container. Delicious kozinaki from sesame seeds are ready!
