Shrimps in a Crispy Cheese Crust

The dish will not leave indifferent those who love exotic seafood – shrimp. Delicate shrimp meat in a crispy cheese crust will look good on a festive table, and under a glass of cold beer is perfect.

Ingredients

  • Large frozen shrimps – 300 g
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Parmesan cheese (any other hard cheese is possible) – 50 g
  • Corn flour – – 3 tbsp
  • Garlic – 1 large clove
  • Lemon – 1/4 pc.
  • Dill – 2-3 branches
  • Pepper mix
  • Salt

Directions

  1. For the shrimp to be tender, fragrant and there is no extra bitterness in the taste, they must be properly peeled. To do this, remove all segments of the shell along with the head. It is advisable to leave the ponytails. Remove the intestinal veins from the backs of the shrimp as shown in the photo.
  2. The next step is pickling. For the marinade, squeeze the lemon juice, chop a clove of garlic, chop the dill, add ground pepper. Mix everything, not forgetting to salt.
  3. Dip the shrimp into the sauce. Be sure to try to spread the sauce over all the shrimp. Leave to marinate for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. While the shrimp are marinated, prepare the batter and breading. For the batter, beat the egg moderately, add salt. For breading, combine cornmeal and finely grated Parmesan.
  5. When the shrimps are sufficiently marinated, take them out of the sauce one by one, dip them in the batter. Then roll in breadcrumbs on all sides.
  6. Spread over hot vegetable oil and fry on both sides until golden brown. There should be enough oil in the saucepan so that it reaches the middle of the shrimp. Place the fried shrimp on a paper towel to get rid of excess fat.
  7. The dish is ready. You can serve. These shrimps go very well with toasted cheese and cranberry sauce.
