Ingredients

  • 2 onion (s), red
  • 600 g potato (s)
  • 500 g carrot (s)
  • 2 kohlrabi
  • 2 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • 1 liter meat broth, instant or self-cooked, strong
  • Salt, (celery salt)
  • Pepper White
  • 300 ml cream
  • 4 sausages (Viennese sausages)
  • 125 g bacon, smoked
  • Parsley, plentiful, chopped

Instructions

  1. Peel the onions, cut into fine rings. Peel and wash the potatoes. Wash the carrots, peel the kohlrabi and dice everything. Melt the butter or margarine in a large saucepan and sauté the onion rings until translucent. Add the remaining vegetables and sauté as well. Then pour in the hot broth. Season the stew with salt (celery salt is also very suitable) and pepper and simmer for about 30 minutes. Finally stir in the cream, do not let it boil anymore. Put the sausages in the stew and heat them up. Divide the bacon into strips and leave in a pan. Finally, sprinkle the vegetable pot with the strips of bacon and plenty of chopped parsley. Possibly. Taste again with salt and pepper. I confess, I add a few more drops of spicy liquid (Maggi soup seasoning).
