Spicy Chicken Liver with Tangerines, Onions and Soy Sauce (in a Pan)

Liver fried with onions is a common dish. But if you add sugar, tangerine slices, soy sauce, and garlic when frying onions, and then mix everything with fried chicken liver, you get an unusual dish with a spicy-sweet and sour taste and a great aroma. Simple and familiar, but with a bright flavor and color accent.

Ingredients
Chicken liver – 800 g
Red onion – 110 g (1 pc.)
Mandarins – 300-400 g (3-4 pcs.)
Soy sauce – 2-3 tbsp
Sugar – 1.5-2 tbsp
Garlic – 2-3 cloves
Vegetable oil – 4-5 tbsp
Salt to taste
Ground black pepper – to taste
Fresh parsley (for serving) – a couple of sprigs
Tabasco sauce (optional) – 1-2 drops
Directions
We wash the chicken liver, dry it with paper towels. Cut off the films and excess fat from the liver. We cut each piece into 2-3 parts.
We wash the tangerines, peel them, white streaks and divide them into slices.
Peel the onion, wash and cut into half rings.
To 2 st. add onion and sugar to tablespoons of heated vegetable oil. Fry for 3-4 minutes, until golden brown.
Add tangerines to the onion and fry for another 3-4 minutes.
Clean the garlic and crush the slices with the flat side of a knife.
Add garlic and soy sauce to the pan. Add 1 or 2 drops of Tabasco sauce for spice, if desired.
In another pan, heat 2-3 tablespoon. tablespoons of vegetable oil. We spread the chicken liver and fry, stirring occasionally, for 5-7 minutes, until tender.
Salt the liver, pepper, mix.
Transfer the finished liver to a pan with tangerine-onion sauce. Mix and heat everything together for 2-3 minutes. Cover the dish with a lid, turn off the heat and leave for 5-6 minutes.
