Tangerines in Spicy Syrup

Tangerines in aromatic sugar syrup with anise, cinnamon and saffron – a wonderful dessert!

Ingredients

  • Tangerines – 400 g
  • Star anise (star anise) – 1 pc.
  • Cinnamon – 1 stick
  • Saffron – 1 pinch
  • Sugar – 100 g
  • Water – 200 ml

Directions

  1. Peel the tangerines. Pour water into a saucepan and add sugar. Bring the sugar syrup to a boil. Add a pinch of saffron, an anise star and a cinnamon stick to it. Boil the spice syrup for 3 minutes.
  2. Dip the tangerines in boiling syrup. Simmer the tangerines in the syrup for about 3 minutes, turning them occasionally. Then cool the tangerines in the syrup and refrigerate for a couple of hours.
  3. Tangerines in spicy syrup are ready to serve. Such tangerines can be used for layer cakes, as well as serve them with ice cream, pancakes, pancakes. Although, I assure you, sugar tangerines will go with a bang as an independent dessert!
