Ingredients

  • 1 large pumpkin (s) (squash) cut open, hollowed out (leave approx. 3 - 5 cm in the wall) and steamed.
  • 500 g squid (s), cut very small
  • 500 g shrimp, prawns or similar, cut very small
  • 500 g fish fillet (s) (pollack or similar) can be varied, also tuna, cut very small
  • 1 onion (s), finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, very finely chopped, not crushed!
  • 1 small bell pepper (s), finely chopped (similar to onion)
  • 1 carrot (s), cut very small
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1 cup cream

Instructions

  1. Hollow out the pumpkin and cook in steam for about 20 minutes. Briefly sauté the onion, paprika and carrot (3 min, deglaze with a little white wine if necessary) and add the fish ingredients. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes, then add the cream and yoghurt. Pepper and salt to taste (if you want, you can refine it with parsley or, even better, fresh dill), simmer gently for 15 minutes, done! Nearly!!! The mass is filled into the squash, and the edge of the pumpkin can be decorated with shrimp or similar. With rice!
