Steamed Meatballs Instructions

  1. Pour hot water into a small bowl and soak the rice in it. Breadcrumbs (you can use slices of bread) pour milk or water and leave for a while.
  2. Wash the meat, dry it and pass it through a meat grinder (you can grind it in a blender). Peel and cut the onion into small cubes. Combine meat, onions and bread crumbs. Beat in an egg (you can also add a little milk if the minced meat turns out to be dry), salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Wet your hands in cold water and form small balls of the minced meat. You can also add some fresh herbs to the minced meat, if available.

  4. Drain excess water from the rice and roll each ball in it on all sides.
  5. You can cook steamed meatballs at home both in a multicooker or a double boiler, and with the help of improvised means. The time depends on the size of the meatballs and the meat used, but on average the process takes about 30-40 minutes.

Bon appetit!
