Ingredients

  • 600 grams flour
  • 1 cube yeast
  • 250 ml milk
  • 150 g butter
  • 75 grams sugar
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 1 egg (s), including the yolk, for brushing
  • 1 tablespoon milk

Instructions

  1. Stir all ingredients well in a large bowl with a mixer (dough hook), cover and let rise for 15 minutes, knead again (if you want, you can now add a handful of raisins.) Let rise again for 15 minutes, then remove from the bowl and Knead with your hands, then fill a braid or a loaf tin lined with baking paper. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes to 50 degrees, then to 200-225 degrees for 25 minutes, brushing with egg-milk mixture in between.
  2. It tastes best warm.
