Ingredients

  • 2 gr. Can (s) beans (green beans or the equivalent amount fresh)
  • 500 g potato (s)
  • 150 g smoked bellies
  • 4 slices Kasseler or
  • 4 slices bacon (pork belly), fresh
  • 10 tablespoon vinegar, whiter
  • 6 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Vegetable broth
  • salt
  • pepper
  • food starch

Instructions

  1. Peel the potatoes, cut into medium-sized cubes, boil. If fresh beans are used, cook them almost through.
  2. In the meantime, cut the smoked bacon into small cubes, heat the oil in a kettle and let out the bacon cubes vigorously. Add the drained beans (fresh or canned) and pour the vegetable stock. The beans should be barely covered. Add the pork belly or the smoked pork, let everything cook for about 10 minutes. Then remove the pieces of meat.
  3. Mash half of the cooked potato cubes, add to the beans with the unmilled potato cubes.
  4. Season the stew with the vinegar and sugar. Dose carefully and slowly, season to taste again and again. The taste should be a little more sour than sweet and the consistency should be creamy. If it is not creamy enough, thicken it with the mixed moon amine. Remove from the stove. Add the pieces of meat again and let sit for another 10 minutes with the lid closed.
