Ingredients

  • 4 smoked pork chops (boneless)
  • 1 onion (s), (chopped)
  • 250 g sauerkraut
  • 150 g pineapple, pieces (from the can)
  • 2 beefsteak tomato (s) (skinned, diced)
  • 1 leek stick (s) (cleaned, cut into rings)
  • 1 carrot (cleaned, cut into cubes)
  • 75 ml pineapple juice
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon mustard, (spicy)
  • 100 g sour cream or creme fraîche
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tablespoon margarine or butter

Instructions

  1. Cut the meat into bite-sized cubes.
  2. Only lightly brown in the hot fat all around, then add the onion, leek, sauerkraut and carrot and fry briefly.
  3. Add the tomatoes, pineapple pieces, pineapple juice, the sugar, a little pepper and salt and the mustard. Fold in carefully.
  4. Simmer in a closed pan over low heat for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Finally, the sour cream is pulled under the finished dish.
  6. Boiled potatoes or a fresh farmer`s bread go well with this.
