Ingredients

  • 125 g puff pastry
  • 10 g butter
  • 2 pear (s)
  • 0.5 ½ lemon (n)
  • 175 g cheese (Maroilles), soft cheese from northern France
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Roll out the puff pastry and cut out a round base of approx. 22 cm. Place this on a lightly buttered oven tray (preferably an anti-sticking tray).
  2. Peel and halve the pears and remove the core. Cut into fine slices and brush with lemon juice to avoid discoloration. Scrape the crust off the cheese and cut it into slices as well.
  3. Place the pear and cheese slices on the base in a rosette shape, overlapping. Salt and pepper. Bake in the hot oven for about 15 minutes. Sprinkle with cumin and serve.
