  • 4 tablespoon wheat flour, whole grain (well heaped )
  • 10 tablespoon milk
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 3 tablespoon oatmeal, coarse (well heaped )
  • 2 egg (s), (M)
  • 2 tablespoon honey, more liquid, possibly less
  • Oil, for frying, tasteless

  1. These are whole-food pancakes, but they are extremely unsuitable for the slim line, just because of the honey, whole milk and eggs. Although they are low in fat, the missing calories are made up for by the sugar in the honey. Sure you can use leaner ingredients, but then it`s no longer these whole-food pancakes, but completely different. This recipe is simply about whole foods, where you definitely don`t have to miss out on the taste. Preparation: Mix the whole wheat flour with the milk until you can no longer see any lumps. Then stir in the eggs well and mix in the oatmeal. Finally add a pinch of salt and the liquid honey and stir everything well again. Then let the dough soak for about 5 minutes at room temperature and then heat the oil in the pan. Bake the dough with the help of a sauce ladle, at not too high a heat, in portions as thin flatbreads (there will be about 3-4 smaller pieces), turn once and then enjoy warm. They also taste cold, but we prefer to eat them straight from the pan. Since no baking soda is added to this recipe, the pancakes will be quite flat. But that`s exactly how we like them and they can be rolled up without breaking. Vanilla sauce tastes good with it.
