Tortilla with Filling

Mexican cuisine has long been popular all over the world. The tortilla recipe is one of the most characteristic Mexican recipes. Tortilla for Mexico is like lavash for the Caucasus – both food and dishes. A variety of fillings are wrapped in a tortilla, so the tortilla recipe can be new every time and never get boring. Here we want to offer you an uncomplicated recipe for a tortilla with ham, cheese, and vegetables.

Ingredients

  • Cornflour 2 cups
  • Eggs 4 pcs.
  • Boiled ham 250 g
  • Milk 0.5 l
  • Vegetable oil for frying 0.5 cups
  • Sweet red pepper 1 pc.
  • Chopped hot cheese 4 tbsp
  • Onions 1 pc.
  • Garlic 1 slice
  • Tomatoes 6 pcs.
  • 1 bunch parsley
  • Ketchup 1 tbsp
  • Ground black pepper to taste
  • Ground red pepper to taste
  • Cayenne pepper to taste
  • Marjoram to taste
  • Salt to taste

Directions

  1. Combine 3 eggs, 0.35 l of milk, mix and put in a warm place for 1 hour.
  2. From the prepared dough, bake pancakes on a piece of vegetable oil. Mix the rest of the milk with the egg, add a little salt, black and red pepper.
  3. Grease pancakes with this mixture and fry again in a pan.
  4. Finely chop the ham, onion, bell pepper, garlic, parsley, tomatoes, add the ketchup and stew everything together, then salt, add cayenne pepper and marjoram, mix.
  5. Stuff the pancakes with the prepared mass, roll them up, and place them in a frying pan greased with vegetable oil, sprinkle with spicy cheese, and bake in the oven until the cheese melts.
  6. Serve hot.
