Tortillas with Cheese and Herbs

Tortillas with cheese and herbs prepared according to this recipe are delicious pastries of the national Caucasian cuisine. Prepare the dough on kefir, prepare the filling from suluguni and fresh herbs. It turns out cool!

Ingredients

  • Kefir – 1 Glass
  • Flour – 2-4 Glasses
  • Salt – 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Soda – 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Sugar – 1 Teaspoon
  • Suluguni cheese – 250 Grams
  • Fresh greens – 50 grams (mint, parsley, green onions)
  • Butter – 50 Grams

Directions

  1. We knead the dough. To do this, in a convenient container, knead 1 cup of flour with kefir, salt, soda and sugar. We do this with a spoon or spatula.
  2. Then gradually add the required amount of flour to the bowl to get a plastic dough. The resulting dough should not stick to your hands and table.
  3. Put a lump of dough in a bowl, cover with a damp towel and leave to infuse for 30 minutes.
  4. At this time, we will deal with the filling. Grate cheese on a coarse grater, finely chop greens and green onions. We mix everything.
  5. Divide the dough into 6 equal parts.
  6. Roll each part of the body into a large cake. Put the filling in the center.
  7. We seal up.
  8. Then we go through the top with a rolling pin and roll out the cake to the desired size.
  9. Bake the tortillas in a dry frying pan for 3-4 minutes on each side. Cover each time with a lid. If the cake is swollen, then it should be pierced with a knife or fork.
  10. Grease the finished cakes with butter and put one on top of the other and serve.
