Ingredients

  • 0.5 ½ small onion (s)
  • 1 ½ tablespoon sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ salt
  • 1 pinch (s) pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 3 ½ tablespoon oil (e.g. olive oil)
  • 1 tablespoon herbs (frozen or fresh, e.g. chives or parsley)

Instructions

  1. Info: Portion information refers to a bowl of lamb`s lettuce, a head of lettuce or a cauliflower.
  2. Chop the onion and mix it with the rest of the ingredients in a bowl.
  3. I like to use a dressing shaker for this. When mixing by hand, first dissolve sugar and salt in vinegar, then add the remaining ingredients. Then shortly before serving, pour the dressing over the salad and fold in.
  4. If the dressing is used for green beans or cauliflower, let the cabbage or beans cool down briefly and fold in the dressing while it is still lukewarm. This allows the dressing to soak in better and it tastes even better.
  5. The dressing can be used wonderfully for many different salads such as: leaf salads, cabbage or carrot salads, beans, cauliflower or potato salad.
