Ingredients

For the dough:

  • 500g flour
  • 20 g yeast
  • 200 ml plant milk (plant drink)
  • 100 g applesauce
  • 75 grams sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ cardamom
  • 1 pinch (s) salt

For the filling:

  • 1 tablespoon oil or margarine, e.g., Alsan
  • 40 g suar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. For the dough, put the flour, salt and cardamom in a bowl. Crumble the yeast in a well in the middle and pour in the lukewarm (plant) milk. Add sugar and applesauce and knead everything into a smooth, non-sticky dough. Let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
  2. Knead the dough again and roll it out on the work surface. Mix the sugar and cinnamon. Brush the dough with oil and spread the sugar-cinnamon mixture on top. Then roll into a sausage, cut into approx. 3 cm thick slices and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  3. Now preheat the oven to 225 ° C and let the cinnamon buns rise again. Then bake for 5 - 10 minutes.
