- 500 g potato (s), floury, cooked the day before,
- 150 g flour (wheat flour)
- 30 g butter
- 1 egg (s)
- 200 g poppy seeds (Waldviertel ray seeds)
- rum
- vanilla sugar
- powdered sugar

- The floury potatoes cooked the day before are finely mashed, kneaded into a dough with wheat flour, butter, a pinch of salt and 1 egg. Shape noodles out of this and let them cook slowly for about 10 minutes.
- Strain the pasta, toss in melted butter, sugar, a little vanilla sugar and a dash of rum, mix in enough grated Waldviertel gray seeds and serve sprinkled with icing sugar.
- The Waldviertel is located in the northwest of Lower Austria on the border with the Czech Republic
