Ingredients

  • 100 g bacon, streaky
  • 200 g sausae, (Mettwurst, Hartwurst)
  • 2 egg (s)
  • 2 large onions
  • 2 kg potato (s)
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Salt and pepper, black, freshly ground
  • Nutmeg, grated

Instructions

  1. Finely dice the bacon, skin the sausage, cut into slices, then cut into strips. Peel and finely chop the onions. Peel, wash and grate the potatoes in a bowl on a coarse grater. Mix the potatoes with the onions, eggs, flour and oil well. Season well with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
  2. Oil a large, flat baking dish. Preheat the oven to 180 °. Pour half of the potato mixture into the mold. Spread half of the bacon and the sausage on top. Pour the rest of the potato mixture over it and top with the rest of the bacon and sausage. Bake the casserole on the middle rack for about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
  3. Goes well with: green salad or coleslaw.
