  • 1 kg wheat flour (whole grain)
  • 40 g yeast
  • 0.75 liter ¾ water, lukewarm
  • 1 tablespoon sea salt or herbal salt
  • possibly egg yolk, for brushing

Instructions

  1. Put the freshly ground whole wheat flour in a bowl. Dissolve the fresh yeast in the lukewarm water and add the salt. Slowly stir the yeast water into the flour and then knead well. Let rise in the bowl for 30-40 minutes. Knead again briefly and put in a greased loaf pan and let rise for another 15 minutes. Bake in the preheated oven at 200 ° C for about 45 minutes on the lowest rack. Tip: We like to mix in sesame seeds or sunflower seeds. What is also very tasty is stir in grated carrots.
