Instructions

  1. Cook the eggs until they are waxy.
  2. Put the mixed meat and ground beef in a bowl, as well as the chives cut into rolls, the egg yolk, 1 tablespoon of mustard and 2 tablespoons of quark. Then season generously with salt, pepper and chilli flakes or cayenne pepper.
  3. Then mix everything together thoroughly, form a large ball out of it and divide it into eight equally sized parts. Shape these dough pieces into balls and then flatten them.
  4. Pour approx. 2 tablespoons of flour into a shallow bowl, add a little salt, mix and then roll the boiled and peeled eggs in it.
  5. Place the eggs on the flattened dough pieces and cover with the minced meat. Since the dough contracts a bit when frying, it should be rather generous. Make sure that the seam is also tightly sealed.
  6. Put the breadcrumbs on a plate. When all the eggs are coated with the minced meat, roll them in them.
  7. Heat a lot of oil in a pan, add the false bunnies and then fry them until they are crispy, turning them several times.
  8. Serve whole or halved and with or without a side dish. They are delicious warm and also cold.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
