Ajvar – Garlic Noodles

Ingredients

  • 500 g pasta, weihed and cooked
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 100 g cooked ham
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 200 g ajvar
  • 100 ml cream, possibly a little more
  • 1 shot sherry
  • 50 g parmesan, rated
  • 1 handful herbs, fresh (e.g. basil and parsley)
  • salt
  • pepper
  • sugar

Instructions

  1. Peel and chop the onion and sauté in a little oil until translucent. Add the diced ham and tomato paste and sauté everything for a few minutes. Deglaze with ajvar, the pressed garlic, cream and a good dash of sherry. Season to taste with salt, pepper and sugar. Simmer gently for about 5 minutes, then add the pasta and mix everything well. When the pasta is hot, add the parmesan and herbs and mix in. Season again to taste, then serve.
  2. The amount is enough for 2 people.
  3. All quantities can of course be varied according to personal taste.
