  • 330 g flour
  • 175 ml water, lukewarm
  • 175 ml oil
  • 1 bottle flavor, (lemon flavor)
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoon anise

Instructions

  1. Separate the eggs. Beat the yolks with sugar, vanilla sugar and water until frothy. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff. In the meantime, mix the flour with the baking powder. When the yolk mass is nice and frothy, mix in the oil, lemon aroma and aniseed seeds with the whisk. Then fold in the flour and egg whites alternately.
  2. Grease a bundt pan and fill it with the batter. Bake the Gugelhupf in a preheated oven at 180 ° C for 40-45 minutes.
  3. You can also use ground anise instead of the anise seeds, but then reduce the amount to half a teaspoon anise, as the ground anise tastes much more intense.
