Not without warning of the shameful consequences of alcohol and being repulsed by the mostly poorly prepared aperitifs available in local restaurants, I found the ideal mixture ratio for me (and my circle of friends) in a long series of heroic self-tests. I do not want to withhold this from the world:
Put 40 g of Aperol into a nice, bulbous glass, then 180 g of the dry white wine and then another 120 g of soda water - that`s it.
Because the sparkling soda is added at the end, the whole thing mixes by itself without stirring.
Danger! 2 points to consider:
1. The white wine must absolutely be dry, otherwise the whole thing won`t taste at all!
2. Do not use ice - when the ice melts, the mixing ratio changes!
