Ingredients

  • 140 g flour
  • 100 ml milk
  • 2 egg (s)
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • some mineral water
  • 3 apples, tart ones, e.g., Boskoop
  • 50 grams sugar
  • cinnamon
  • Clarified butter

Instructions

  1. Gradually mix the flour with the milk. Add eggs, salt and vanilla sugar, whisk everything together. Let the dough swell for 15 minutes, then add a dash of mineral water.
  2. Wash the apples, remove the core with a cutter and cut the apples into thick slices.
  3. Mix the sugar and cinnamon.
  4. Bring plenty of clarified butter to the boil in a pan. Gradually pull the apple rings through the batter, place in the hot fat and bake until golden brown on both sides. Drain the apple fritters on kitchen paper and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar while they are still hot.
